I may look like a normal & an ordinary teenager, but I have my crazy wild side too. I like to have fun, but decent fun. I can have fun in my head too, where my wildest & the most unimaginable things flow throughout the room/place.I would say I define myself as mysterious because not well, humans don't read minds & that's the best part.
My artwork is based on one of the art movements which is graffiti. There are some surrealism elements in, but graffiti would be a precise choice. The base looks like a silhouette but instead of painting the figure black, I decided to doodle my thoughts, imagination & my characteristics. My elements contain realistic pictures and drawings as well. The pictures represent my reality which is my eyes, the lollipop (represents food), the heart, my interest, animals, nature & buildings. Those are my favourite things in life & from the real pictures, I doodle and draw my thoughts and widen them into something bizarre.
I used a number of methods which is drawing, collage & painting. My hair represents colour because I love colours! And it also represents my enthusiasm for illustrations and doodles as well. I used tissue paper & painted them with really dilute, watery paint. I don't want it to look really contrast, I like to balance my artworks in terms of colour, minimization/maximization & complexity. I don't like it to be too complicated because some viewers will have trouble visualizing it. So that's it, this is my opinion about myself. portrait.

MU is a non-profit organization, which supports and promotes public art in Montreal, Canada. It's mission is both artistic and social as the project involves creating murals at the heart of local communities. I particularly liked this artwork. Yes, it involves doodles again. It's a very explicit image yet beautiful because it represents culture from Spain. The details in this picture is visionary & I would like to learn more about it to widen my ideas. Every designer/artist has a different interest of art movement, well I like graffiti & surrealism. But I would like to start with graffiti first. To be precise, I love to draw playful doodles because imagination happens when we doodle randomly, then sooner or later, we'll brainstorm & we'll get addicted to it, so thats how doodle became a continous artwork. From one piece of doodle to a whole stretch of the wall.
I've borrowed a graffiti/mural books from the library & I found an artist who is related to my kind of style. His name is REMED. He is a street artist from France,Paris & his style of work involves illustration, doodle, canvas & impressionism. I really admire his artwork because the creativity is bizarre & beautiful. Here are my favourite artworks from him

Good night everyone, I've been starting my first 2-Dimensional Design class today by Miss Lisa. I have to create another blog again. And I received my first assignment which is again, self portrait. But this time, it's manually made and no photoshopping or whatsoever, which is better for me because I believe in hand work.
I wan't to create something similar to Mr.Charles well since the assignment title is almost the same, but I wanna add a little twist for Lisa's assignment because since it's manual work, thus, it is also challenging for me.
I will update more about this assignment. Till then, take care. | |
